Rango’s management team includes all of the experience and capability required to run this fast-growing enterprise. Combined, the six senior leaders have well over 200 years of business experience. Some of the skills and experiences of the senior team include deep experience in many forms of mining, construction, engineering, domestic and international business, finance and banking, and safety. The team works well together, driving the business and furthering the Rango culture of removing the business burdens of our customers.
Rodney George
President, Owner, and Co-Founder
Meet Rodney George, President and Owner of Rango, Inc., who brings over 30 years of invaluable experience to the material moving and mining industry. Rodney’s passion for the land and heavy equipment has driven him to excel in optimizing material movement and mining processes.
From a young age, Rodney immersed himself in the industry, gaining expertise in operating various types of equipment and understanding the possibilities that machinery can unlock. He thrives in a fast-paced and exciting environment, embracing the constant evolution and growth of the field.
To stay current with the latest trends and advancements, Rodney maintains a keen eye on industry developments and fosters strong relationships with others in the field. Beyond work, he enjoys spending time with family, as well as cars, hunting, and the outdoors.
As a leader, Rodney fosters a positive work environment and strong team culture by leading with compassion and making himself readily available to listen to anyone in the company. For him, the most fulfilling aspects of his role are demonstrating his leadership abilities and excelling in sales, helping drive the company forward with his vision and expertise.

Meet Shawn Packard, the Chief Executive Officer at Rango, Inc. Shawn leads our senior team across mining, construction, project management, and execution, with a focus on safe, fiscally responsible operations. Talent development and leadership growth are at the center of everything he does. With over three decades of pragmatic, cross-industry experience, Shawn brings a background that bridges finance, resource extraction, and heavy industrial contracting. At Rango, he applies this expertise where capital-intensive operations, regulatory compliance, and business development intersect.
Given his background in financial services, along with his experience in the resource and energy sectors, Shawn brings a blend of fiscal discipline, risk management awareness, and operational expertise that will help guide Rango into its next phase of growth. His strengths in leadership development and positive organizational change management further position the company to reach its full potential while driving long-term success.
In his spare time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family boating, surfing, camping, hiking, climbing, and mountain biking, just about anything outdoors. He has been married for 37 years to the love of his life, and together they cherish any time they can spend with their eight grandchildren. Shawn is also passionate about volunteer work, dedicating much of his time to organizations such as Junior Achievement and the Utah Food Bank.

Meet Scott Bostwick, our esteemed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who brings 18 years of experience in finance and accounting. Scott’s expertise in these areas makes him a vital asset to the company’s success. Throughout his career, he has achieved remarkable milestones, including closing more than 230 loans totaling an impressive $125 million and seamlessly integrating the financing and accounting processes of four separate entities.
Scott’s educational background is equally strong, holding a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from ASU and a CPA license. He thrives in the challenging, fast-paced nature of the finance industry and takes pride in providing clear financial insights that guide strategic decision-making and contribute meaningfully to the company’s success.
Outside of his professional life, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and mountain biking. His positive outlook and leadership qualities play a key role in fostering a collaborative work environment and unifying the team. His commitment to hard work, prioritizing the company’s best interests, and safeguarding stakeholder concerns reflects his strong work ethic and dedication.

Meet Aaron Boyce, a seasoned operations and engineering leader with 29 years of experience in the mining and industrial minerals industry. Aaron specializes in operations management, project estimation, crushing, process design, and lean management, with a proven ability to build efficient systems and deliver strong performance across complex projects.
Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Utah and an MBA from Washington State University. Over the course of his career, he has played a pivotal role in driving growth and operational improvement for several organizations. His accomplishments include developing an Industrial Minerals Division for a major regional aggregate producer, managing operations for a decorative stone producer through acquisition and rapid expansion, and overseeing technical services and estimating at Rango during a period of exceptional growth. His leadership is grounded in efficiency, safety, and disciplined planning, ensuring projects are structured to save customers time and money while supporting long-term success.
Committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, Aaron closely follows market and regulatory trends and attends conferences and trade shows to evaluate emerging technologies and advancements.
Outside of work, Aaron values time with his family and enjoys staying active. He supports his daughter’s club volleyball team and his son’s club soccer and high school golf pursuits. When he is not cheering them on, he can be found playing golf or working on DIY projects in his garage. Guided by attention to detail, a passion for the outdoors, and a drive to be a top contributor, Aaron brings dedication and excellence to every aspect of his work and life.

Director of Safety
Meet Mark Adam George, Chief Safety Officer at Rango Inc. With a passion for ensuring safety in all operations, Mark meticulously plans, directs, and implements safety policies and procedures, creating a secure and efficient environment for Rango’s miners and customers alike. His approach to leadership is simple yet powerful: he never asks anyone to do something he wouldn’t do himself, and he leads from the front, fostering a cohesive safety team and management staff.
Mark studied Business Administration at Mesa Community College and Lamson Business College. He also holds certifications from Michelin Tire Training School, where he gained expertise in identifying and preventing damage to mining equipment tires, and from the Oklahoma Mine Training Institute, where he earned his Surface Foreman Certification.
At Rango, Mark has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing a safety program that aligns closely with the company’s culture. He also spearheaded the transition to digital safety record storage, making records easily accessible across all sites with a simple tap on an electronic tablet, resulting in a more efficient and environmentally friendly system.
Outside of work, Mark finds fulfillment in his close-knit family. As a devoted father, husband, and grandfather, he cherishes spending quality time with his seven children, two daughters-in-law, and eleven grandchildren. When he’s not with family, he enjoys riding motorcycles and exploring new places on two wheels. Mark’s dedication to safety and family drives him to excel in all aspects of his life, making him an invaluable asset to Rango and a true leader in the field of safety management.

Kristen McCarthy
Director of Human Resources
Meet Kristen McCarthy, the Director of Human Resources at Rango, Inc. With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources across a variety of industries, including medical device and food manufacturing, Kristen is a transformational people leader with a proven track record of designing and delivering strategic people programs that support business objectives and drive profitable results. Her expertise as an HR practitioner includes cultural transformation, communications, organizational design, M&A, HR due diligence and integration, compensation and benefits administration, and HR operations.
Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in HR Management from the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University. She is PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certified through HRCI (Human Resources Certification Institute) and is an active member of the Arizona HR Executive Forum (AZHREF), where she serves on the communications committee and Board of Directors.
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her husband and their three sons. Longtime Chicago-area residents, they are proud “Northsiders” and devoted Cubs fans. Originally from Kansas City, Kristen is also a proud supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ “Red Kingdom.”
