Rango’s management team includes all of the experience and capability required to run this fast-growing enterprise. Combined, the six senior leaders have well over 200 years of business experience. Some of the skills and experiences of the senior team include deep experience in many forms of mining, construction, engineering, domestic and international business, finance and banking, and safety. The team works well together, driving the business and furthering the Rango culture of removing the business burdens of our customers.
Rodney George
President, Owner, and Co-Founder
Meet Rodney George, the President and Owner of Rango, Inc., bringing over 30 years of invaluable experience to the materials moving and mining industry. Rodney’s passion for the land and heavy equipment has driven him to excel in optimizing material movement and mining processes.
Starting from a young age, Rodney immersed himself in the industry, gaining expertise in operating various implements and understanding the possibilities that machinery can unlock. He thrives in the fast-paced and exciting environment, embracing the constant evolution and growth of the field.
To stay updated with the latest trends and advancements, Rodney maintains a keen eye on industry developments and fosters positive relationships with others in the field. Beyond work, he finds joy in family, cars, hunting, and the great outdoors.
As a leader, Rodney creates a positive work environment and team culture by leading with compassion and being readily available to listen to anyone in the company. For him, the most fulfilling aspects of his job are showcasing his leadership skills and excelling in sales, driving the company forward with his vision and expertise.

Shawn Packard
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer at Rango Inc., Shawn leads our senior team in mining, construction, project management, and execution with a focus on safe and fiscally responsible operation with talent development and leadership growth, at the center of everything he does. With extensive pragmatic, cross-industry experience spanning over three decades, Shawn brings a background bridging finance, resource extraction, and heavy industrial contracting to bear at Rango where capital intensive operations, regulatory compliance and business development intersect.
Given his prior financial services experience in addition to his resource and energy sector experience, Shawn’s brings a blend of fiscal discipline, risk management awareness and operational know-how to Rango that will help lead us into our next growth phase. His expertise in leadership development and positive organizational change management will likewise empower Rango in achieving our full potential while driving organizational success.
In his spare time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family boating, surfing, camping, hiking, climbing and mountain biking……just about anything outdoors. Married for 37 years, he is married to the love of his life and together, they love any time they can get with their 8 grandchildren. Shawn also enjoys volunteerism spending much of his time with Junior Achievement and the Utah Food Bank.

Meet Scott Bostwick, our esteemed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with an impressive 18 years of experience in the finance and accounting realm. Scott’s key skills lie in his mastery of finance and accounting, making him a vital asset to the company’s success. Throughout his career, he has achieved remarkable feats, such as closing over 230 loans, amounting to a staggering $125 million, and seamlessly integrating the financing and accounting processes of four different entities.
Scott’s educational background is just as impressive, holding a BS in Accounting from ASU and a CPA license. He thrives in the challenging and fast-paced nature of the finance industry and enjoys providing a clear vision of financial results to guide strategic decision-making, significantly contributing to the company’s achievements.
Outside of his professional life, Scott finds joy in family fun and indulging in mountain biking. His positive outlook and leadership qualities make him an essential part of fostering a constructive work environment and unifying the team. Scott’s commitment to working hard, prioritizing the company’s best interests, and safeguarding stakeholders’ concerns exemplifies his strong work ethic and dedication.

Aaron Boyce
Chief Commercial Officer
Meet Aaron Boyce, a seasoned operations and engineering leader with 29 years of experience in the mining and industrial minerals industry. Aaron specializes in operations management, project estimation, crushing, process design, and lean management, with a proven ability to build efficient systems and deliver strong performance across complex projects.
Aaron earned his BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Utah and his MBA from Washington State University. Over the course of his career, he has played a pivotal role in driving growth and operational improvement for several organizations. His accomplishments include developing an Industrial Minerals Division for a major regional aggregate producer, managing operations for a decorative stone producer through acquisition and rapid expansion, and overseeing technical services and estimating at Rango during a period of exceptional growth. His leadership is grounded in efficiency, safety, and disciplined planning, ensuring projects are structured to save customers time and money while supporting long-term success.
Committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, Aaron follows market and regulatory trends closely and attends conferences and trade shows to evaluate emerging technologies and advancements.
Outside of work, Aaron values time with family and enjoys staying active. He supports his daughter’s club volleyball team and his son’s club soccer and high school golf pursuits. When he is not cheering them on, he can be found playing golf or working on DIY projects in his garage. Guided by attention to detail, a passion for the outdoors, and a drive to be a top contributor, Aaron brings dedication and excellence to every aspect of his work and life.

Mark George
Director of Safety
Meet Mark Adam George, the Chief Safety Officer at Rango Inc. With a passion for ensuring safety in all operations, Mark meticulously plans, directs, and implements safety policies and procedures, guaranteeing a secure and efficient environment for Rango’s miners and customers alike. Mark’s approach to leadership is simple yet powerful: he never asks anyone to do something he wouldn’t do himself, and he leads from the front, fostering a cohesive safety team and management staff.
Mark’s educational background includes studying Business Administration at Mesa Community College and Lamson Business College. Additionally, he holds certifications from Michelin Tire Training School, enabling him to identify and prevent damages to mining equipment tires, and the Oklahoma Mine Training Institute, where he obtained a Surface Foreman Certification.
At Rango, Mark has played a pivotal role in building and implementing a safety policy and program that aligns perfectly with the company’s safety culture. He also spearheaded Rango’s transition to digital safety record storage, making it easily accessible across all sites with a simple tap on an electronic tablet, resulting in an environmentally friendly and efficient system.
Outside of work, Mark finds fulfillment in his tight-knit family. As a devoted father, husband, and grandfather, he cherishes spending quality time with his seven children, two daughters-in-law, and eleven grandchildren. When not with family, he indulges in his passion for riding motorcycles and exploring new places on two wheels. Mark’s dedication to safety and family drives him to excel in all aspects of his life, making him an invaluable asset to Rango and a true leader in the field of safety management.

Kristen McCarthy
Director of Human Resources
With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources across a variety of industries, including medical device and food manufacturing, Kristen is a transformational people leader with proven success designing and delivering strategic people programs aligned to support business objectives and drive profitable results. Her expertise as an HR Practitioner includes cultural transformation, communications, organizational design, M&A, HR Due Diligence & Integration, Compensation & Benefits Administration, and HR Operations.
Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in HR Management from the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University. She is PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certified through HRCi (Human Resources Certification Institute), and is an active member of AZHREF (Arizona HR Executive Forum) serving on its communications committee and Board of Directors/
Outside of work Kristen enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her husband and their three sons. Long-time Chicago area residents, they are forever ‘Northsiders’ and devout Cubs fans. Originally from Kansas City, Kristen is also a proud supporter of the KC Chiefs ‘Red Kingdom’!
